Launch House exists so young men don't have to figure out adulthood alone. We give them a home, a brotherhood, and a year of practical, faith-centered formation. Then we send them out ready.
Why Launch House exists
Many young men leave home with a diploma but no plan: no budget, no routine, and no one checking in. Most are not in crisis. They have simply never been shown how.
Launch House began with a simple conviction: [share the moment, need, or calling that started the program]. We believed that one year of the right structure, around the right people, could change the direction of a young man's life.
So we opened a home. Residents live together, learn together, and hold each other to a standard. They practice real adult responsibilities in a place where mistakes become lessons instead of setbacks, and where faith is lived out, not just talked about.

The people behind the house
Brother Pedro Perz
Brother Pedro Perz is the founder of Transformation Oasis, a community-centered initiative that helps men heal, grow, and build sustainable lives. He brings more than 20 years of experience in mentorship, entrepreneurship, personal development, and community service.
A Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, licensed barber, former barbering instructor, and business owner, Pedro takes a practical, relationship-driven approach. His work brings together recovery support, life skills, accountability, brotherhood, and discipleship.
Together with Donovan Anderson, Pedro created Launch House to be more than housing: a place where young men gain structure, deepen their faith, discover their purpose, and prepare to make a positive difference in their families and communities.

Minister Donovan Anderson
Minister Donovan Anderson is the founder and executive director of Thirty Mighty Men Ministries, a men's ministry serving the DMV, and serves as a minister at Zion Church Greenbelt. His work centers on helping men grow in faith, discipline, and leadership. As Program Director, he leads the Launch House curriculum and the formation plan for each resident.
He holds a Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning from UNC Chapel Hill, an M.A. in Community Engagement from Wesley Theological Seminary, and an M.A. and B.A. in History from Howard University. He and his wife, Mindelyn, are raising their family [in the DMV].
Deacon Melvin Stewart
As House Manager, Deacon Melvin Stewart oversees day-to-day life at Launch House, keeping the home running and the house standards in place.
Melvin attends Zion Church Greenbelt, where he serves as a leader in the Offscript Young Adult Ministry. He is a man of high character and integrity who leads by example, and residents can count on him to model the standard he sets.
